+1 I liked her. |
Me too- she's on the weekends now. I think she is a great interviewer. |
NPR is peddling one sided ideas, not news. Bad bad bad!!!! |
I would see if people who say this ever really listen to NPR? They had an interview with Pat McCrory a couple of weeks ago that was really well done. Still don't agree with the guy at all, but they gave him a chance to speak intelligently and he and the interviewer were cordial and fair. NPR is always very fair and broad, but people like their beliefs, no matter how wrong they are. |
Oh just stop it Donald. |
I think Steve Inskeep is pretty sharp and engaging. I recently saw him filling in at the PBS News Hour. I wondered if they are trying him out for Gwen's spot. |
I agree. I think they cover a lot of topics that liberals care about (education, civil rights etc) but I think they always take pains to present opposing sides. |
You'll be able to enjoy it, once you understand that they offer wonderful music and interesting, informed opinions. Just don't go into it thinking it's unbiased news. |
That would be "SO bad!" |
Worst accent ever. |
Don't disagree with you on the voice, but she is an AMAZING national security reporter, which is reassuring these days. |
NP but the music is the worst part of NPR. |
Can someone tell me why they have to do the funding campaigns? It seems like there are just as many ads on NPR as there are on other radio stations, can't they fund it through those ads? |
They all talk so. F'ing. Slowly. Can't stand the pace sometimes; it's almost patronizing. |
I know I'm old school, but the stuttering and the "like" and "uh" filler words really bother me. I definitely do this myself, but I believe that news anchors and reporters should still hold themselves to a higher standard. I don't remember Bob Edwards using filler words. |
