How Short/Tall?

I probably would cut off tall at 6'5". My brothers are 6'4"ish and I feel ridiculously short when we do photos. I'm 5'5".

Haha! I'm a PP in this thread (preferred short guys when I was younger but now prefer tall guys) and same here! He was as big around as a coke can! Your guy didn't happen to have the initials HR?

That sounds painful!

I would not date someone under 5'10.

Too tall? Hmmm. I'm not even sure that's a thing.

Probably over like 6'8 would start to feel freakish, but even then I dont think it would be a deal breaker.

I'm 5'4 and he must be 6' and over. Anything less than that is short in my eyes.

Uh oh, you're going to piss off a lot of hypocrites.....prepare for the onslaught!

I am a woman and I agree with the PP entirely. Everyone has physical preferences.

I'm 5'6" and DH is 6'3". I could not date/marry a short guy.

I'm 5'3" and married to a 6'1" man. For some reason, I've only dated men who were 6' and over. I was insanely attracted to a guy who was no more than 5'5" in college.

5'10" woman here. DH is my height but other guys I've dated have been a few inches shorter. I prefer men in the 5'8" up to my height range. Can't stand really tall guys as they seem just too tall to me. Tall guys seem to like me though I guess since I'm tall too but I've never been attracted to guys over about 6'. My girlfriends used to always try to set me up with freakishly tall guys and it just never did it for me.

I'm 5'9", almost 5'10". My entire family is tall (brother is 6'7", female cousins all 6'). So I grew up thinking that "tall" was, say, 6'3" and up, anything less was short.

Married someone 6' (my family thought he was a shrimp).

Divorced, and eventually remarried--to a man the same height as I. And when I was dating that time around, I threw height out the window as a consideration. Life's too short (no pun intended) to waste with criteria like height.

This.

I'm 5'0 and my husband is 6'1" though height didn't matter to me. I was also hoping my kids would be taller, but so far my daughter is so short she isn't even on the charts.

Oh and I don't want short kids. Another reason I prefer 6' and over.

I'm 5'4", DH is 5'8". I can't imagine having looked him over because of height, I would have missed out on the best opportunity of my life.

+1

I couldn't be with a skinny guy. I like stocky men. Not bodybuilders or fat guys, but solidly built.

I was once the first regular-sized woman an ex dated. All his previous gfs had been 200+ lbs. At the time, I was 135ish so I didn't feel skinny at all, but he just couldn't get used to feeling collarbones and hip bones.
