around 9:00 p.m. is the goal, but typically it's 9:15 p.m. for 6th grader (12) and 4th grader (9). Wake up is 7:00.
|
It's your fault they are not home from activities until after 8pm. |
|
14yr old is in private. In bed between 10-10:30 and up at 7am. School starts at 8am for her.
My 7yr old is in bed at 8:30pm and up at 8am for her 9am school. |
| My 14 yr old doesn't get home from sports until 8:30, so depending on hw she goes to bed anytime between 9:45-11. She wakes up at 7 |
|
3 kids -
age 7: 8:30-8:45pm age 10: 9pm age 13: 915-9:30pm |
I wasn't saying it wasn't my fault. My point was that by middle school my kids activities just didn't start that early. People are always ready to jump on someone here. |
| Goal is 9:30 for 12 yo and 16 yo. Often slips to 10. Both have to be up by 6:30 to catch bus just after 7:00. |
|
12 years old, wake up at 6am, 9pm lights out.
Some days that's impossible, with activities and that's ok. If generally she's getting 9 hours of sleep a night, she does great with one or two nights a week of 7.5-8.5 hours of sleep. If she's difficult to get up in the morning or grumpy, we make sure she has a 3-4 day stretch of on-time bedtimes. |
| Goal for 12 year old on school nights is 9:00, but it sometimes slips to 9:15-9:30. Up at 6:45. He stays up much later on weekends. |
| 12 and 10. In bed by 8:30-8:45, lights out by 9. They are up at 7 with no problems. Seems early compared to lots of posters here, but it works for us! |
| My 10 yr old 5th grader goes to bed at 9:00 on weeknights and usually 10:00 on weekends during the school year. |
| 7th grader - I push for 9:30, he pushes back. I insist he spends 30 minutes in the shower so he's definitely not sleeping before 10-10:15. Gets up at 7 and is tired. |
That should read "I insist he goes up at 9:30 but then he spends 30 minutes in the shower."
|
| My third grader goes to bed at 11 pm |
