What do you do with unmatched socks?

| Puppets. When my kids outgrew puppet-making, I donated them to a local daycare. Now my 10 year old wants to wear mismatched socks, SO and I each consistently buy same brand/style, so we no longer have that problem. |

| all the unmatched socks are tied together with a long sock. I pull it out every time I have leftover single socks and try to match them. It's gotten huge and I will likely toss it if I can't find the matches soon. Called the Sock Monster. |

| I put socks in a lingerie bag in the hamper and then wash the bag. Never lose socks. |

My daughter and all her friends wear mixed match socks; I think it's a thing now.

| I never lose socks. Sometimes though one is stuck at the bottom of the hamper and the other made it through the wash. I just have a basket that I keep them in until the pair comes out clean. |

| I believe I have over 100 unmatched socks from over the years (family of five). No, that is not true -- I bet it easily is over 200. I just did not want to say 200, even anonymously, because it sounds so bonkers..... |

| My kids each get a certain sock - grey for one and white for the other. All the same style. It saves a ton of time. My husband still has some older socks in rotation that are different brands and styles, but all of the new ones are the same. That way if you get a hole in one you just throw it away. |
