I'm the one who posted about admissions. I know this because I work for BASIS. Maybe you spoke with the Head of School or a School Director. The admissions team was under a lot of pressure because of low enrollment/interest in Mclean. Not sure if that's the reason they quit. Could be they were feeling pressured to leave.
Chris Zefferies was the Director of Student Enrollment at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, which has been hugely successful. There's a lot of interest in BASIS in the bay area in general. They are currently opening a primary school in Fremont (Fall 2016). Chris isn't optimistic about Mclean because he doesn't think the market is right for the school. Block's were hoping to match Silicon Valley with Mclean, but so far only a handful of applications have been submitted. |
