Light colored towels on Sanitary cycle
Sheets hot water All of my clothes in cold water except work out clothes and socks which get warm water DH and kids' whites hot water colors--warm water reds-cold water dark colors--warm or cold depending up whose they are and level of soiling. |
Light and darks are seperated, everything gets washed on cold. Towels get a seperate load, also on cold, assuming enough make is into the wash to create a seperate load. |
Towels on hot, sheets on hot, socks/underwear/light colored clothes on warm, jeans and dark colored clothes on cold. The baby's clothes all get washed together on warm. |
same here! we throw everything together. Only exception is for things like a new pair of dark jean. I will also wash dedicates separately, but I don't have a lot of those so on the average week everything is tossed in together. |
5 categories:
Bleach + hot water + soak for underwear, white towels/napkins/washcloths Light and dark regular (warm water, regular cycle) Light and dark delicate/lycra (for bras, sweaters, wool, silk, and exercise stuff) A splash of fabuloso in any stinky load. Nearly all clothes and linens get washed before first use. I am the laundry diva for my extended family. |
Sheets: warm or hot
Towels:Warm or Hot all else: combined and cold/cold rinse |
All clothing all gets washed together on cold. Sheets and towels get washed together on hot. New clothing gets washed by itself on cold for the first time. |
whites, hot
darks, cold baby, warm gentle cycle sometimes I do a 4th load if I have rags and other dirtier things that I don't want to wash with our clothes. |
congrats |
I read the label and sort according to what the label says. |
Darks - cold
Colors - cold, I don't like warm because a lot of our colors are red and I don't want them to fade. Whites - towels/warm, clothes/hot or warm Colored sheets - cold, white sheets - hot |
Unless I either have a ton of laundry or a dark item that's new, I wash everything together on cold. I've done it this way for years with very few unhappy surprises. I generally don't have enough lights to have a separate load for them. |
Sheets and towels on hot. Everything else on cold. I separate underwear and gym stuff out from everything else. There are such good cold water detergents now. Clothes last Longer washed in cold. I barely dry anything that's not sheets and towels too.
Bras are hand wash. |
We do the same, everything together (except towels), on cold. No problem in years. |
Ditto. I haven't separated lights and darks since I went to college and paid by the load. Wash all together on cold and rarely have an issue. |
