| I used to make pita pizzas all the time. Delicious! The one trick you should do is to quickly poke some holes in it with a fork before putting on the sauce and cheese so it doesn't puff up when it's cooking. Sprinkle on some oregano for extra pizza flavor. |
| I bake a lot, and I agree that pizza dough is easy to make, but I can never stretch/roll it out to the right thick(thin)ness. What's the trick? |
My idea of baking has always involved a box. Once, I brought a Mrs. Smiths apple pie to a dinner and when another guest who was a professional chef raved I confessed and she couldn't believe it. "Even the crust?!" Yup. Boxes are my friend. |
Not PP but after rolling it, you can either spin it like the pizza man or hold the dough by one edge in the air and let gravity stretch it out while you slowly inch your fingers around so it stretches equally in all directions. Unless you spin it, you will never get a good circle so don't sweat the geometry. |

Buy premade dough a store in freezer for emergencies.
Homemade dough is pretty easy though if you have time. Cut a small ball off, gently stretch, then roll with a rolling pin to get super thin & crispy crust. If it's too thick you are probably using too much dough. Pita crusts and that other thick prepackaged "crust" (I'm blanking on the name) are nasty IMO. French bread - YUM! (Brings back memories of PMP pep) |
| Naan makes good pizza. |
| I buy the Whole Foods pizza dough and press it out on a round pizza pan myself. |
