Suggest a store where I can test drinking glasses?

You can get the bee glasses at World Market. They aren't antique.

I recently came across beautiful, sturdy glasses at a party, but when I googled them it appeared they were French antiques (they said Paris on the bottom and had raised bees on them). If anyone knows what I'm talking about, I'm looking for something that sturdy.

You can get them at Macy's

Mass murderer glasses. Nice.

She said they were her grandmother's.

Fwiw, I'm not looking for bee glasses. Rather, I'm looking for something that is comparable in terms of size and sturdiness. They felt substantial without being heavy or cumbersome.

Thanks for the helpful tips, folks! I appreciate it!

Yes, I have these and they are awesome! Very thick and sturdy, and cute. You can buy them in person at that little home good shop in Shirlington.

If you want to spend $ then try Simon Pearce. Beautiful heavyweight glasses. The local store here closed but I have seen a limited selection at a few stores. Simon Pearce tends to be pretty consistent so if you have or have seen other pieces the glasses will be similar. I almost bought some the other day.

The bee glasses at World Market are way less expensive than the Macy's ones. I forget how much I paid for my last couple but maybe $8/glass?

Is this like the stupidest thread ever?

We have these from Williams Sonoma that we got for our wedding 15 years ago. We started with about 4 dozen and still have over 30 with three very destructive children and two clumsy parents in our home.

No, why would you think that? Op asked a question & many people have provided answers.

Ballard Designs used to have these glasses -- they still might.

I bet! That is totally the response people give when they don't want to give out a recipe or where they bought something.

I don't think so. Where to buy glassware locally seems like a completely appropriate question.

You've got to love it when the OP just dribbles information out slowly that would make responses more or less helpful, instead of giving a full picture in the first post.

These look like they belong in a cheap diner. They also break easily because of their alloy.
