In fact, I even convinced my daughter that she was annoying.

Something about her eyes speak inbred to me.

I think she has peaked, her music is catchy but she is reminding of some 80's artists that had a bunch of good music and then you never from them again.

Unlike many/MOST pop stars - Taylor Swift writes the majority of her songs and collaborates on the development of the song progression; she promotes the work of other artists; engages the business practices of the INDUSTRY (remember the capitulation of Apple and its decision to not any ANYTHING to artists for their music) and her not going in lockstep with Spotify just to name the headline actions.) She is politically and socially active and does not stand aloof from her fans (insert the names any number of too-cool-to-acknowledge-stars who cannot be bothered) and arguing that it is for building her brand how is that different (except being NICE) than other 'artists' and the provocative acts they take - not to forget this is not just art but a fast-changing industry model. I think she is a smart business woman as well as an artist who has evolved from a studio driven success (when she was just a young kid) as a country balladeer to her now pop-centered approach. You can find her annoying, not like her music, or her (really?) looks but her continued success - whether it is brilliantly finessed through a well executed marketing plan or from the worldwide appeal and popularity of her music but dang - shes a genuine and self-generated success and she is all of 25. I often laugh at myself for being for the very first time a real FAN (waaaay too old!) but for someone who came from a pretty normal/mid-to upper-middle class suburban family life to extreme success/$$$/fame at such a very young age I have nothing but admiration for her.

writes her own songs?

lol - That will take all of 5 minutes to write the lyrics.

What's with the group of models and actresses she brings around? Her girl gang? It's so cheesy.

I totally agree. Very talented, a true original and does amazing things for fans.

Uh, that line is sarcastic.

Not crazy about her new album, but I think she's great. Have you ever heard Best Day? If you're a Mom it will make you cry. One of many great songs she has written. She is classy and is one of the few good role models in pop music.

Disagree. She has painted herself as the victim in many failed relationships and then perpetuates the drama with her music. Someday she will look back and cringe.
