Here is a picture of my kitchen. Tell me what kind of backsplash to get!

What color is your granite, Op. It's pretty but I can't tell from the picture which type it is.

I like the ones you picked. Only consideration is cleaning them. We have white subway tile and I'm amazed how much crud gets on the backsplash.

It's some sort of silestone/quartz that's a very dark brown with tiny reddish and black flakes in it (which also goes nicely with the green wall thank you very much!).

+1 I like the paint color too.

I have a similar color contrast with dark counters. Looks great.

Not sure if this would work or not -

There are other colors too.

OP here. Here is another style that I like a lot:

I do not know what to pick! I like the very tiny travertine and this the best. I have not seen this one in real life, it is from Lowes.

Oh, OP again. I was thinking of putting a glass tile stripe in a beige tile, but the mint colored ones have too much of a blue hue to go with the paint color in the room.
Anonymous
I would avoid a tile stripe if you are concerned about it looking dated quickly. I like your paint color1

Can you post a picture of your kitchen and the way it looks now with stainless appliances and paint (as opposed to wallpaper)?

I think the wall paper is distracting.

That looks like a floor to me. I like your first choice.

+1 Your first choice would compliment your cabinets better.

What's the name of your paint color, Op?
Anonymous
Koi pond. Honestly, I bought a couple of buckets of mistinted paint but it's basically the same.
Anonymous
I think the wall color is perfect; complements the cabinets nicely. I like the first tile you picked, but not the second (at all). Glass would also look good, but go with what you like.

Would you post 2 photos of your countertop, one close up and one farther away to see it's colors? I think the wall color koi pond goes great with your cabinets btw. Green and red tones are pretty known to go well together.

But, that still leaves the BS selection and countertops truly play an important role so seeing will help.
