Don't English people like tea?
I like scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurt with unhealthy fruit on the bottom, mildly sugary cereal, etc. |
|
I cook breakfast for my kids everyday, so. Usually, I offer whatever, I'm making them, a breakfast sandwich, or breakfast burrito, pancakes, toast, waffles.
I'm a coffee drinker so I always make coffee in the morning. |
| Stock up on fruit (berries, bananas, clementines, grapes), yogurt, a few cereals, milk (and one dairy free, as someone suggested),. Have some eggs and coffee and supplies. |
I'm from the UK. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance on tea or coffee, but the one thing your guest would expect you to have is toast(able bread). For a basic breakfast, I'd have tea, coffee, OJ, a couple of kinds of cereal, and toast with butter and jam available, for guests to help themselves. |
| Protein. I would make them eggs, offering the choice of over-easy or scrambled - or - have eggs available for them to cook themselves if you aren't there. Minimally, hard boiled eggs if you don't want them to cook. And toast. |
| Eggs. I need protein and no sugar in the morning. Hardboiled if you want to prepare in advance or fried or scrambled for the morning of. My favorite is fried eggs over sauteed spinach. Looks fancier than it is and takes 5 minutes tops! |
| Booze, lots of lots of booze. |

Thoughtful host, OP!
Eggs that either you cook or allow your guests to cook, cereal, fruit and most importantly - coffee. |
| Quiche, bagels, fruit, coffee/tea, mimosas |
| Bacon eggs, applesauce and toast Coffee. |
Tea is for afternoon. Brits are as coffee obsessed as we are in the morning. There are probably more coffee shops in London than here because they have multiple chains (Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Pret, etc). |
| Remember the time difference. They may be awake and hungry long before you're ready to cook. Have enough on hand that they can take care of themselves. |
| All useful advice! Thanks. -op |
| Coffee with half-and-half, not milk. |
| I have bagels and cream cheese on hand in addition to the cold cereals we eat daily, some fruit, and I would make some quick scrambled eggs after everyone got up. |
