I despise the nickname Sebi, though I like the name Sebastian. It reminds me of Sebborhea, or dandruff. Bash is marginally better. I guess if it were my kid I'd do no nickname or Bastian.

I live in an area where Sebastian is more common that usual (cultural reasons) and every one I know goes by Sebby. A few older ones are Big Seb.

I had a friend who went by "seba" once people got to know him. He definitely did not introduce himself as such but he quickly became "seba" to most.
