Wanting to lose weight-no will power, should i try Nutrisystem?

Anonymous
If you want to lose weight and really, truly have no willpower, you may want to get a script for stimulant ADHD drugs in the amphetamine class.

Your Adderalls and Ritalins will create the "willpower" you need to not eat. Because you won't want to eat, ever. The weight just flies off, I've noticed in others.

I didn't want to pay for a good system. I wanted to try 21 day fix but we don't have a DVD player anymore. Beach body just started a streaming option but 21 day isn't available and I'm not up for the hour long work outs.

All this is to say I decided to go back to portion control and making healthy choices and lots and lots of water. Lunch has been salads with grilled chicken. Tonight's dinner was steak brown rice and snap peas and more water.

I'm not hungry but I do miss mindless eating.

For exercise I actually started to go to the gym instead of just paying the monthly fee. As I said, ask me in a week how it's going.

I have done medifast and I agree it's a great way to drop some serious weight FAST. I am also now basically on the 21 day fix for life - it is a great way to loose the rest of the weight and learn to eat forever. BTW, you can stream the 21 day fix videos. Why do you think you can't? Autumn and I hang out every morning!

This must be from a naturally skinny person. for people with horrible metabolisms this does nothing.
If i eat 1/4 cup of nuts I gain a pound.

Nope, not even close. And you're doing it wrong.

NP. If it's so easy to do it wrong, then it's not "a pretty easy way to take weight off."

It won't work that way if you actually have ADD. For people without ADD, those drugs ramp you up. if you have ADD, they slow you down. I eat more on addreall. I only took it for a month. I didn't stop because it made me eat more, I stopped for other reasons, but I was sorely disappointed when my appetite did not diminish, but went the opposite direction.

I don't know. I looked on the beach body on demand list and didn't see it there. Maybe you have to buy the DVDs and then you get streaming access?

I have done medifast, 21 day fix and nutrisystem. Medifast is different from the other three because it eliminates fruit and puts your body in ketosis. I personally don't like going into ketosis because I think it's hard on your organs such as liver and kidneys, and it is not sustainable long-term.

Nutri-system is nice because it lays everything out for you, and you get a lot of their food to eat. The bad thing is rehydrating your lunch every day, and the food is edible, but not all that great.

21 day fix is fine if you get organized. I got a spreadsheet off the internet and used that to organize my meals. If I were going to do one of these programs again, it would be 21 day fix. You get to eat what you like and the dvds were good too. I never did the shakeology. You can use a shake if you want or not. It does not have to be part of the program. I also did not use the tiny boxes for my fruits. I felt that I didn't want to limit my fruit intake that much.

I started Nutrisystem at the end of January and I have lost about 17 lbs and it really hasn't been that hard. I could have lost more, but I always take one day off a week (Saturday), and I also sometimes slack a bit on Sundays. I also don't limit myself if I have a night out during the week, etc. With all that, I seem to be able to lose about a 1 lb a week. I really don't find it that difficult, and I supplement the food with a lot of fruits and vegetables. The first order I had a lot of misses, but now that I have tried some things and know what I like, most of the food is tolerable. I will probably do it for another couple of months and then wean off it.

I find it difficult while chasing around two kids, but I'm trying again because it's so effective. Nutrisystem didn't work for me because it involved supplementing with a lot of store bought food and I couldn't keep up with the meal planning. But the food is definitely better on Nutrisystem. They also offer a discount for many insurance plans, so maybe ask for that.

If it was so effective, why are you trying again? Or do you just find it unsustainable and go back to eating normally?

I just like to change things up. I have lost about 12.5 pounds total. It is slow going now that I am 50, but if I stay one own program a long time, I start to get bored, so I just try a different one. I even went to a nutrition class last summer and found that helpful too.

Just take an allergy med with a decongestant. Kills my appetite entirely.

After a Google search sounds like the key is pseudo ephedrine. An allergy pill is unecessary.
