Best pillows

It's actually healthy to replace your pillows on a semi-frequent basis. The amount of dead skin and dust mite fodder in there is pretty gross. I try to replace my pillows about once a year.

"One report, presented at the Healthcare Associated Infections 2011 meeting in London, found an array of microorganisms and debris inside pillows. In fact, within 2 years of use, one-third of a pillow’s weight comprises dead skin cells, bugs, dead dust mites and their droppings, according to the research cited in a Daily Mail article."

Best thing I've found is to get cheap ones and replace them frequently. TJ Maxx/ Homegoods/that sort of place. I think we've spent a small fortune on pillows and I just don't think spending a gazillion dollars makes a difference, replacing often is more important.

Macy's frequently has sales on their Hotel down pillows, usually $300+ but on sale plus Macy card discount ends up being about $160.

You're supposed to replace your pillows annually. If you have washable pillows, wash them quarterly and you can go longer without replacing.

Has anybody had good luck with Ikea pillows?

I'm a stomach sleeper, and like down-alternative Hotel pillows in "soft." You can always get them marked down somewhere.

NP here. Do you like yours? I keep thinking I should get one, but I'm worried its just all hype.

Just coming back to this thread, sorry. I do like it. It holds its shape for the most part and I just shake it to move the stuffing around and plump it up. The stuffing Is different than any other pillow I have, but I think that's what makes it unique. There are lots of reviews on qvc, although I bought direct from the site. They usually have promo codes. I'Ve been happy and have my fair share of pillows!
