Dehydration, please help

You may have an electrolyte imbalance. You need potassium, calcium, and sodium, among other things. Eat some potato chips and drink a large Gatorade. Get some sleep. It will be better tomorrow.

If your pee is dark, it's a sign you need to drink more.

OP again. Appreciate all the posts. I went to bed a couple hours early last night in the hopes that it would help, but it didn't do much. Pee is not dark, though I'm not going very often. I've had 32 oz of water today so far, plus a ginger ale and two cups of coffee. I know diuretics are probably not ideal, but I'm actually nodding off at my desk. Will try some chicken broth and banana when I get home, and maybe pick up a gatorade en route.

Wait, I can't add. Thought my water bottle was 8 oz but it's 16. So I've had 64 oz so far today. That seems like a lot.

Water won't do much if you have an electrolyte imbalance. most people wind up in the hospital on fluids due to that, not just water. You need to replace those electrolytes

Is it possible you have a stomach bug?

Yes, you need to be practically mainlining Gatorade or pedialyte. Dehydration can be dangerous. I'd consider getting someone to look after the kids and going to the ER for fluids. They do this all the time and gladly precisely because dehydration can be dangerous. Once you get fluids you'll feel MUCH better.

You sound pregnant, OP!

This.

Pedialyte or a product called Drip Drop located next to Pedialyte.

I've known a couple of people who suffered from a "stomach bug" for weeks before they figured out they were pregnant.

Believe me, I thought of that. Took a test this morning, that's how bad I felt. Negative. I've now had some chicken soup and a banana and still feel lousy. I didn't have time to go by the drugstore for pedialyte or something similar so I will tomorrow morning if I'm not cured by then. Sigh.

How did you become so dehydrated? Unless you were vomiting or had diarrhea, or heavily exercising without drinking, I would be inclined to think you have a bug of some kind. Especially since you experienced diarrhea - why would you attribute that to dehydration rather than a virus?

Maybe OP went out to a party and drank too much alcohol?
