| I take rest days on Thursday and Sunday. I compete in powerlifting so I have 5 days of heavy lifting. On Sundays I usually paddle board 10-15 miles. Thursdays and just for rest. |
| Just curious, how long did it take you to get the the point where you loved exercise and wanted to do it for the sake of doing it every day? Because I've never been there. |
| 22:51 - I'm a daily exerciser (for about 12 years now) and I'm still not at the point where I love it *every* day. Some days I love it. (usually the run days.) Other days I just do it to do it, because it's good for me. You don't have to love everything you do, as long as you don't hate it. And if you do hate it, switch up some of what you do so you don't hate it anymore. (for me, I dislike working out in my office's teeny gym, so I'm moving toward having more run days and fewer gym days during the week.) |
[OP] It took me almost a year. Maybe 9-10 months or so. I definitely had funks in that time where I skipped a week or two of workouts. But it took a long time for me to love it. I think a big part of that is knowing I can do things that I never in my life could do, so I get pride and satisfaction from that. Also not doing the same thing, but a rotating schedule of a variety of exercises. |
