they can take differential equations dual enrollment at GMU through fcps just like the acceletated TJ kids do |
So, they have to schlep to GMU for one class? I would imagine TJ might have enough for a class at TJ, but not for the other HS. |
TJ kids take complex variables, differential equations, AMT, probability theory, cryptology etc. at TJ after multi and linear. |
Still doesn't answer the question. What about other High Schools. TJ isn't for everyone- even math wizards. |
A dual-enrollment course of interest either at GMU or at NOVA. |
| Nosy nervous question. |
There are 10 6th graders taking Algebra 1 Honors at Carson from McNair and Hunters Woods. They are in a class where the rest of the students are 8th graders. And no I am not pushing my child to do anything DC doesn't want to do or was my idea. |
WTF for? This is absolute craziness! Poor kids. Do you make them wear their pants pulled above their belly button and horn-rimmed glasses to? I imagine they probably don't have time to wash that greasy hair either.
|
Stop judging other people just because your kids aren't smart enough and it's out of your poor imagination. I've seem 6th grade kids who took Algerabra 1 Honors fully enjoyed it. They were not poor at all. Instead, they'd be poor if they weren't given the opportunity. |
hahahahahahahaha...hahaha
|
sounds as though a little nerve was touched. feeling guilty? you should! |
No. My feeling is not nearly as fragile as yours. Not even close. Just surprised people can be so narrow-minded just because they lack the experience. Did you come from Alabama? |
No MIT! |
or sorry you probably don't know where that is. |
| For a math smart kid, how does the school decide that a 6th grader is eligible to take algebra I ? Does it start earlier in 5th grade itself ? Does the kid take 6th grade SOL in 5th grade ? How is that decided ? |
