To men who have seen prostitutes...

True, but when you go, you don't know if you are helping support this happy, go-lucky, nymphomaniac who is just realizing her dream and aspiring to be the best at her profession, or furthering the horrible life situation of the forced or trapped woman. And you don't care which it is, which I think is the hard part for many women to get their heads around.

Men want the sex without the relationship. Probably because at home they have the relationship without the sex.

What a jerk and loser and you're an even bigger loser for having him as a friend.

Why would he do that you say? Because he needs the discretion because he is married or has a high profile job. He just wants it to be a one time thing with no strings attached. He wants to fulfill any fantasies that he cant fulfill with his wife/girlfriend. The money he waste on wine and dining a female, he can just pay to her directly. He can pay and sleep with a female that he is attracted to. Emotions and a connection arent needed.

Lets just say i know something about the lifestyle.

+1 it's a business tranactions. He pays she earns -both parties are satisfied without any emotions being involved. Pretty easy to understand.

Pretty sure Elliot Spitzer's "girlfriend" was not a victim of human trafficking.

Do you have an effective method for screening your whores to be sure they are voluntary?

Wow what a bully you are. Just another example of the feminist culture in this country.

I think women just get all upset about this because deep down they know they do the same thing, but without the direct payments of cash. With little effort, we can find a number of post on this site about women getting married for money, status(right school, "good/rich" family, right type of job), etc. or the man should pay for everything on a date regardless of income....like meals, airfare(there was just a post about some guy wanting to pay for airfare), etc.

I.married for both love and security. I believe many men do the same. Is it transactional? Sure..men also get protection and support from the deal. I believe prostitution should be legal. And sex traffickers hanged. Thank you for listening.

Yeah, there was a story in WPost a few weeks ago about how one of the reasons marriage rates among younger men are down is that they have ready access to porn (and I'm guessing prostitutes also, but that wasn't mentioned). They can easily pay to satisfy their needs, while avoiding the need for a relationship. I know I see this among my male friends in their late 20s/early 30's -- much less urgency to get into a relationship. One single friend of mine decided it's better to stay home on New Year's eve and play computer games instead of going out to a club with some other friends who were there. He's not some slacker either -- he owns a successful small business and does well for himself. He's just choosing to not even enter the market basically.

A distant relative of mine was a prostitute (now a happily married mother of 3). She did it for the money. No drugs were involved to my knowledge.

I'm not sure where all this human trafficking claims are coming from. I'm sure some women are indeed being forced to do this, but I'm skeptical it's the majority. Besides, why wouldn't these same women be "forced" to do other jobs, like working as a maid or a prep cook at a restaurant? From the trafficker's standpoint, they just want free labor right?

Oh, you know, these claims come from places like the US Department of Justice.

Human traffikingnthat is sexual has a huge profit margin and is repeated rape..im sure there are other forms of trafficking but it regarded as particularly heinous. Can also exploit young/poor. Overall, the worst.
