| If always heard that they had to sell them to pay their mule fees for being brought here. |
| What I want to know is what's up with the disabled people you see on the corners of Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Road? I feel bad for them but have always wondered how they get to those locations to beg if they are disabled. Do they get dropped off? |
Yes. They have shifts. |
| It's a gang thing. If you buy a flower they break one of your head lights..... |
|
So, nobody knows what they charge? I have been tempted to buy them, as they look fresh, but didn't want to end up haggling with them about the price, or fishing in my purse for the right amount. If I could get the right amount out in advance, I might buy them. Hasn't anybody ever bought one? I personally have never seen anybody buy one.
Maybe they are really undercover cops? I mean, if nobody ever buys from them, why are they out there otherwize? |
Make an offer. |
These same people have been begging in this area for years. Two guys in particular one missing hand and other guy on crutches with a malformed leg. I think they are part of a group of gypsies b/c I've seen them getting picked up with the gypsy women at the end of a shift. They leave in a minivan. |

He's probably trying to make an honest living.
If you really want to know, pull over and ask him. Everyone on the side of the road has a story and it might interest you to hear his. |

And these are the people who will turn around and complain about people sitting on their butts on welfare.
But when people try to sell roses for a few bucks profit...they must be gang members or scammers. We must all work at WalMart or IBM in order to be legit. |
Same here! Those flowers look nice compared to the grocery stores around here |
| Use to see this all the time in Atlanta. I'd usually see business men buying them on the way home from work on Fridays. |
| Is it legal to run businesses or collect for personal charity on median strips or public property in general? |
| Aren't they gypsies? Or do gypsies only panhandle? |
| legal to be on the median in most places, not legal to be in the road. |
