Does anyone believe in a vengeful God?

Of course, everyone has some discourse with teachers from Joel Osteen to Billy Graham to Christ Himself. However, below is a link that talks about who goes and who doesn't. Starting around 3:10 talks about those who have never heard of Christ.

Then what is the point of sending missionaries all over the world? and what's the point of anyone getting baptized?
Baptism is not about salvation. It is an outward confirmation of what Christ did Himself. It is symbolic and does not take the place of verbal and heartfelt acceptance of Jesus Christ.

With that said, in some denominations water baptism is all that is needed but scripture is emphatic about how to come to God and that is through Christ.

Incredible how some churches will bend their teachings just to keep people coming. baptism is definitely about salvation. Who needs an "outward confirmation of what Christ did for himself" whatever that means, by getting dunked in water by a paid clergy person?

In many Christian denominations, you can't be a member of the church if you're not baptized and if you idea unbaptized, you're hell-bound. That's why Catholics do infant baptism.

Nahum 1:2
"The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies."

To me, God's enemies are not human as we are all Children of God. Rather, His enemies are evil forces, as in Satan and those that are controlled by evil.

I'm glad you quoted Scripture, so that I can share this: Ephesians 2:1-10 (NIV): "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Sadly, we are not ALL children of God, but unless we have been forgiven by putting our trust in Jesus Christ, we remain children of wrath. God is indeed a vengeful God, and He will take His vengeance on all who reject the free offer of His son for salvation. But He is also merciful, kind and loving in that He sent Christ to die for our sins while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). As long as we reject His son, we are God's enemies. But Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection has reconciled to God all those who believe in Him.

All people, including primitive tribes who don't believe in Jesus can see the vengefulness or compassion of God just by observing the bad and good weather. Hoever, to be saved, they must learn about and accept Jesus. This is impossible for some who are so isolated, so God shows his vengeance by sending them to hell for eternity, despite the fact that their lack of knowledge of Jesus is through no fault of their own, it's because Jesus' faolowers never found their way to these poor people to convert them to the way of the Lord.

Some liberal Christians don't like to believe that their benevolent Lord would be some cruel, but there's nothing in the bible or their creed that contradicts this

So, here's what I'm getting from your post.

There is only one God.

He is kind and benevolent to Christians.

As to everyone else, he is vengeful, wrathful, and mean.

Why? They have "rejected" his "offer" of "salvation."

How do we know this? The weather.

Well! There's certainly only good weather for Christians!

By the way, have you considered that you make God sound like he's a toddler throwing a pout when you describe him that way?

Yes, God needs money -- to build and maintain buildings where humans can come to worship him - and for salaries for people to lead others in worship. God is omnipotent, but he can't support his worshippers without their monetary assistance.

I can worship god from the comfort of my home for free.

I don't believe in a vengeful God but I believe in a JUST God which means 'Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see the reward for it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see the punishment for it.'  Quran, Az-Zilzal 7, 8. So we will be judge according to our deeds.....

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

But I think you can't get to heaven unless you worship in church. Otherwise, what's the point? Oh there's community and all that, but to live for eternity, I think you have to honor the lord by attending His church here on earth.

As far as I can see, everything thee is factual. It's not very flattering, but it is true. I guess the lat part about God needing people's money is speculative, but still logical.

if he was all powerful why couldn't he support his worshippers without them chipping in? doesnt that mean he isn't all powerful?

Vengeance is for mere mortals, no?

A jealous and passionate God. He admits it .

God tortured and killed his only son because of the disobedience of the creatures he created. If that's not vengeful I don't know what is.

We are all God's CREATION. We are NOT all his CHILDREN. You chose to be a part of the family of Christ - it is free will that allows this.
