You should just call it "The U". |
Only to immediate family members, very close friends or fellow alum. |
Ha, I went to college in Ohio and knew some kids as Miami. They all said they went to Miami. People I knew that went to University of Miami all said they went to The U. |
I thought "the U" was University of Utah. Apparently I hang out with too many Mormons. |
I wonder how well known "the U" nickname is beyond longtime college football fans? |
I am a Miami of Ohio grad. Good school, but I guess it depends on your tolerance for snow and cornfields over beaches and palm trees.
I was appalled when I discovered it was also Paul Ryan's alma mater. Then again I'm much more liberal than many Miami U grads. |
PP here. Miami U is named after the Native American tribe. |
Do you mean the name of the sports team? |
I always consider Ben Roethlisberger as Miami's best known alum. |
That's Miami of Ohio, btw. |
They changed their team name to the Red Hawks at least a decade ago. More than I can day for DC. |
Miami U is an excellent school. They're both great schools, just the one in Coral Gables is much higher profile with a lot more hot babes. Both have incredibly shitty football programs. |
Miami U is certainly a regional school, nothing wrong with that. Miami FL attracts an international and national audience due to its location. Lots of spoiled pampered bitches at UM looking to have trains run on them by football players. |
Dipshits in Minnesota call that school the U. Happens everywhere. |
Another fact: UM reports 43% white students MU reports 82% white students. |
