One week, 5k, and want to see something incredibly beautiful - where would you go?

Just got back from a week lpng trip in Norway and Iceland. Both are incredibly beautiful. Look into flying to Europe with a stopover in Reykjavik.

In December? It will be too dark to see much.

Torres del Paine in Chile. It doesn't get more beautiful than that, and it is summer.

+1 though there's a lot of legs of travel to get there. It's not a place you go and then just chill after the main plane ride.

Too cold at that time of the year.

You have to focus on the southern hemisphere, the Mediterranean, Hawaii or South Pacific.

Barcelona. Beautiful weather in winter. Low season, so cheaper flights and hotels. Very rich architecture (art nouveau), lots of museums. Great window shopping. The beach. Lively, great wines, great food, and great nightlife. Kid friendly. Unforgettable.

Santa Fe and drive to Grand Canyon.

5k really isn't a lot for some of the trips I would recommend.

Big sur is beautiful and the post ranch inn is really nice.
