You sound ignorant! Nope let me change that to stupid. |
Let me help you.

Just let it go OP. As others have said you aren't going back.
I am so sick of service providers treating you like they are doing you a favor. You were thoughtful enough to call and say you would be late and paid for the work they performed. You don't owe them anything, Though this salon was convenient I am sure it is not the only one close by. The only way I would reach out to the manager is IF you love the stylist, he/she was not upset that you were late and your REALLY think the service is worth all the hassle. |
LOL. Thanks I am very tired. I appreciate your edits very much

OP, you were in the right. If there is one thing I can not stand, it is pissy service people. If I am nice to you, you be nice to me, dig? If I obviously came here for your service, you do it, and shut it. I don't need your commentary. I get it, if someone is cold and demanding, that is the time for the service people to dig in their heels. But too often, it seems they get it wrong, and are pissy to the nice customers - the wrong customers! You were in the right. You are (were) a paying customer. You tried to be nice, and they snipped right back. Unacceptable. I had this happen to me, when a parent died, and I needed my hair done. Can you imagine? Some people have no soul. And no brain! I guess that's why they are there. But I digress. I would Yelp them just to make a point. After all, all anyone believes in is the negative reviews, anyway. The positive reviews are usually written by friends. Get 'em, OP! |
Bitch. |
Yeah I'm not the person who bit the head off of a receptionist. |
+1 |
Completely agree - the only thing you did wrong was not letting management know how you were treated. I think I will use your line next time at the doctor's office! |
+1 It was bad on their part to talk like this to a regular customer. If you were a repeat offender, that's one thing. But once? They should have let it go - and you were perfectly within your rights telling them that they were being obnoxious hypocrites. Now, I will tell you one time I had a little tantrum at the place where I get my hair cut (it was right before my wedding, and I was running quite late, but I think there was enough time for them to give me a trim if not a full cut; they wouldn't do it). I made a big scene - mostly just pre-wedding nerves, but also feeling really wronged that they weren't being flexible when they'd kept me waiting before and I was a regular customer - but later called to apologize and went back, even though I continue to think we were both being shitty there. In the end, sucking it up was better for me than finding a new place to get my hair cut. |
| Actually as long as you are prepared not to go back, I don't think you were out of line. |
Well, you had me until the bolded. Then I decided you're an uppity bitch who probably deserves poor treatment. |

Well, she started it. |

I think you need a new salon. My stylist, who is the owner of his salon, bends over backwards to keep me happy (not that I'm demanding- he is just very customer satisfaction oriented). He knows that I would never make a habit of showing up late for appointments and that sh!t just happens sometimes, so he would be very understanding and politely reschedule if I called to say I'm running late. I would do the same if the salon called and said he was running late. If the receptionist treated me the way you were treated and he caught wind of it she wound not make that mistake again. And they would call me in advance before they would keep me waiting, with apologies and a deeply discounted service at my next appointment.
I hope you can find a salon where you are treated better. |
