Not trying to sound stupid, but why did the beheading victims just kneel there?

But that was quick, not like some Islamowacko slowly sawing someone's head off with a knife.

The torture was the days thinking about the execution, then walking to the guillotine, then being shoved into position, then someone holding your ears to properly position the head. You get it?

These days, we seem content with executions that take hours. And conservatives seem not to mind that.

There is a HUGE difference between executing someone who has committed a heinous crime and executing someone simply because of their faith or where they are from. Those who have been sentenced to the death penalty in the US have done something horrific to earn that sentence.

We should all be against the death penalty.

And some of them have not. Everyday, men are exonerated after being sentenced to death. America has also executed innocent people only to realize it after the fact.

Didn't the French behead the algerians based on their nationality?

Not so in Algeria. The French did some nastiness there and white French people seldom got that kind of punishment. Sad situation but everyone has some guilt.

They are focused on hoping Jesus will save them in eternity. Jesus said " father , forgive them . They know not what they do."

Those are the words that connect with the soul.

It's seriously arrogant to put words in the victims' mouths. Especially since at least one of them was a Jew.

That said, that's just the way I see it. It breaks my heart and makes me sick that we even have to talk about this. Not even animals are this bad to each other.

+1. to me they were extremely brave, especially considering they knew the guy by them was holding a knife and not a gun. the idea they cold die fighting is stupid. they were tortured for two years, if they fought back the terrorist would have simply stopped the movie, beat them up and start all over again. maybe they told them that if they did not cooperate they would have killed the other hostages in front of them, or some innocent civilians brought to the place for that purpose. if a terrorist of that type hold a gun to the head of two or three toddlers in front of their parents and tell you that if you do not cooperate they are dead, what would you do, knowing that you would be dead anyway? we don't know what happens, but I think there is no doubt that they were brave and had nothing to be ashamed of in their behavior

Everyday? Really every. single.day?
You got any proof of that or are you just being a tad bit dramatic?

I'm not the OP and it's not every day, but the innocence project has 150 or about 3 a year. In 2014, we already have 3 people freed from death row.
