I've only been a couple of times, but my favorite item there that I've never seen anywhere else is Greek yogurt cream cheese--so it's a much higher protein content than regular cream cheese. |
I like their clam sauce to put on linguine. |
ooohhh I'll definitely have to check this out since our not a fan of solids kid seems to like cream cheese |
Wegmans has the best price on Boucheron cheese.
They carry European beer, my DH's favorite, that no one else does - and at a reasonable price. |
their store brand ice cream. my husband and I think the peanut butter cup flavor is the best we've ever had (better than ben and jerry's and some of the premium flavors). |
Total wine carries the largest selection and usually has the best prices. |
If you like scallops, they have the best around (IMHO) and also Belize shrimp is inexpensive and delicious. I go to germantown one though |
I love the store brand vanilla Oreos.
They have some compound butters (maybe they're called finishing sauces?) near the butter, which is a flavored butter to finish off steaks or fish or whatever. I love their Italian classics line in the pasta aisle. Anything bread-related. |
The Belize shrimp is very good. We get them to grill often and they are the perfect size AND already deveined so they are EZ peel. I like their store brand Parmesan (not in the green tube, but near the deli/cheese section). I also like their fresh mozzarella, the chocolate pistachio cookies in the bakery, their rotisserie chickens, store brand habanero pepperjack cheese, and there's one spaghetti sauce my husband LOVES- I think it's Grandmas Pomodoro. Their lemon and herb marinade is our favorite for lemon pepper chicken. |
Oooh, the fresh whole wheat pasta. In the refrigerated section. |
Wegman's Wine & Cheese Rope Sausage |
One time I found a small pearl in an oyster there... |
LOL on the pearl post!
Try the NY State Fair chicken marinade. I'm not sure if that can be purchased elsewhere (probably can?) but I grew up with Wegmans and grilled chicken marinated in that, and still love it. Wegmans brand hummus, turkey sausages - both very good. I also like their Toasted Oats cereal (crunchier than Cheerios, and the plain one is only 2g sugar, but the honey one tastes better ![]() |
Oh, and as a PP mentioned, if you're looking for something to try that you can only get at Wegmans, the Zweigles hot dogs are it. I don't care for them, but "white hots" are a big thing back home, and they have a very different flavor than your typical hot dog. My mom likes them split lengthwise down the center and cooked on the grill until the skin is blackened and burned. And if you need something to put on your hot dogs, try the Bill Grays hot sauce (in the condiments aisle). Not what you'd normally think of as hot sauce, and definitely meant to go on burgers and hot dogs. |
Bacon - they have the best no nitrate bacon!
