JLD at HAS. Always smart, always a leader. |
huh? |
The google tells me Julia Louis-Dreyfuss at Holton Arms. Strange approach by poster. |
That's cuz you didn't attend HAS |
I stood about 10 feet from Bill Gates at an OLE conference back in the early 90's. I vividly remember it because they had free Jolt Cola and I must of drank 5-6 of them. So I was pretty wired up and felt like I really new Bill at the time, lol. |
Is her name Alex? |
I once was a passenger on the same commuter plane as Sam Donaldson. My shoes touched his shoes. He looked exactly as he looked on TV. And he was very tall.
Does that count? |
The celebrities I know aren't as exciting as Hollywood celebrities, but they're really nice people.
I'm in an organization with former Oregon senator Robert Packwood and Washington post columnists Bob Levey. I see them routinely. I used to be a professional theater reviewer in the DC area (lots of theater here!) and I met and interacted with several local theater actors, directors and musicians/musical directors. Some knew me by name, others only knew me by face, but I was recognized regularly and schmoozed with local theater personalities. Through my theater reviewing, I know a theater columnist who was interviewing Stephen Schwartz when he came to town a few years ago. I got to sit in on the one-on-one interview and afterwards got to spend about 15 minutes schmoozing with him. He's a really, really nice guy. |
OP - ARE YOU IN DC AREA OR CALIFORNIA? |
The Jolt cola reference is more impressive than Bill Gates. I loved that stuff! |
Do politicians count as celebrities? My Dh says politics = Hollywood for ugly people.
I wouldn't say I know these people, but i have met/seen them: Biz Markee at Pentagon City Mall Bill Cosby in NY when getting on the $40 bus back to DC, on the sidewalk outside of grand central seemed to be by himself 50 cent, before he blew up we started convo over a book at a Golden Corral in Atlanta and talked for about an hour. I had no idea who he was until I saw him on tv yrs later. He was by himself too. Pete Pablo at the Shark Bar in Atlanta, he was obnoxious, had a huge entourage and was trying to gather groupies in droves to go to an after party at 112. Not sure if he counts since he pis kinda wack Donnie Simpson when he worked at WKYS radio Tigger at Verizon center walking alone as was I dint ask which floor or where I can't remember Saw Kris Cross at that sushi restaurant in Phipps Plaza Atlanta. The light skinned one Franklin? P diddys old sidekick that would dance with the umbrella -- saw him at Justin's in Atlanta . He complimented my friend on her outfit. She was wearing suspenders, haha. I was dropping my Dh off at the airport and saw Common.. Walking alone. He smiled and said good morning, I did the sakm and got in my car. He probably saw the shock register on my face beforehand and seemed to be amused by it. This was Howard homecoming weekend I think he performed? I seem to spot black rappers and r&b artists often, but don't think much of it. I've probably met others but am horrible with names/faces and getting old Oh and I saw Tank down by baggage claim at DCA Still waiting to meet Denzel. ![]() |
He looks exactly the same (except he wasn't all prematurely gray yet). You did get the sense he wasn't ever gonna have a career sitting behind a desk. Not arrogant, but different. Funny too. |
Thanks for sharing. That was fascinating. ![]() |
I went to High School w/Kendra Wilkerson in San Diego, CA.
We both went to Clairemont High School in Clairemont. She was very athletic in high school, was not popular or unpopular and was not stuck-up or particular rude to any of the student body. She mostly kept to herself on campus. Also, Kris Jenner graduated from this school as well. Her mother, MJ still lives in the area. She owns a children's clothing store in La Jolla where I live and I sometimes go in there just to see her, but not too often because I don't want to be like a stalker or anything and yes, I always make a purchase. She is really quite friendly in person, doesn't act famous and she is really very petite too. |
HAS never taught you to know your audience? Seems like a crappy school. |
