I'm baffled as to the overwhelmingly negative responses you usually get to your (recognizable) posts since your DW and DD do sound horrible. (I am always the one posting in your defense.) I wonder why your posts bring out the meanness and sadism of some people here on DCUM. It really bothers me.

Feminazis live by the following rule:
- When the man does something wrong, it's his fault. Seems obvious.
- When the woman does something wrong, the man did something to drive her to it. It's his fault still.

And the misogynists don't do the same? SO. MANY. MEN. SUBSCRIBE.

And in the case of misogynists, the woman is at fault for everything even when it isn't her fault. Welcome to the real world.

Well I posted the original post quoted above and I'm a woman. Maybe it's a language thing but I don't see why this OP always brings out the hatred in people here. I feel sorry for him, whether he feels sorry for himself or not.

He posts for sympathy.

It's because he always complains without doing anything to improve his situation. How many times can we say the same thing?

I don't know if this guy is for real, but I kind of loathe how he uses quotation marks gratuitously. He refers to her "evening ride," as if it's a euphemism for mounting the pool boy.

And he whines about things like having his conversation with Mommy interrupted.

Having been in abusive relationships, I guess it bothers me to see everyone pile on with these threads. I think once people are routinely mistreated, they become targets of others somehow. Whatever the OP is doing wrong, he doesn't deserve to be kicked while he's down.

I would feel sorry for myself and post for sympathy is I was in a marriage like the one OP describes too. Sounds rough for everyone.

She wants your attention and is clearly not a priority. Give her some attention and congratulate her.

+1

If a husband was taking rides and then coming home and ordering his wife to get off the phone with her mother because what he had to say was more important, the cackling of the angry hens would be deafening.

Sounds like DW is just plain inconsiderate and quite immature to me. How old is she?

It doesn't matter who you are speaking to or what you two are speaking about.
If you are in the middle of a phone conversation, unless she has an urgent matter to discuss, she can wait until you are done w/your conversation to talk to you.

Yes, I agree she IS rude and she is modeling bad manners for your child.

Use this example to teach your DD what NOT to do.

This. I think being treated like this is the norm for OP and he subconsciously elicits it on purpose because it's the quickest and surest way to garner the attention that he's not getting at home. There's a subtext that people pick up on and respond in kind. My interpretation filtered through my own experiences.

OP, if you want their behavior to change, you will have to change.

Me too! Such a whiny bitch. Grow a pair, divorce your hag of a wife, and go bang some hookers or something.

Total double standard being revealed in this thread.

A man who complains about his wife being obnoxious is a "whiny bitch." A woman would never get that treatment.

Let us know if you still feel like this after reading the same sort of posts from this guy another 20x. You'll know it's him because he and his wife always make sure their daughter is right in the middle of it.

Not really. For example, see the thread about the DW who wants DH to skip a family funeral. Everyone is unanimously against DW.
