I haven't read other posts by this poster, that I know of. How are you all getting that he's being abused and cheated on by some monster of a wife? How do you know he's not one of those passive-aggressive wimps who talks to his mom for hours every day and creates drama and makes his wife out to be some kind of overbearing beast? I know men like that. They use the same whiny tone to talk about "incidents."

Agreed. You could level the same kind speculation of the women who post complaints about their husbands.

I think the underlying issue is that people tend to assume a man has more responsibility and control over his life, so when a man complains about being mistreated, there is little sympathy. Women are perceived as having less control and responsibility, so they get a shoulder to cry on.
