| My PCOS was managed with diet changes. Makes sense because it kept my blood sugar and insulin stable. |
Nutrition can help with the insulin resistance but some with PCOS/nonclassic adrenal hyperplasia have very elevated testosterone, which causes the acne. Nutrition would not address this, as far as I know. I am guessing if you could regulate your testosterone with diet, men would start buying up diet books by the boatload. |
Just FYI, there are a bunch of herbs and vitamins that help naturally raise testosterone in those that have low testosterone. I know this is not what someone with PCOS needs - but just responding to your other comment. Zinc, Vit D, healthy fats, aromatase inhibitors, resveratrol, etc. And they are buying books, magazines, and supplements by the boatload

Not true - I had hair loss and acne. Tried all kinds of things including a long term healthy diet (which instill follow) with the help of a doctor/nutritionist. No help. It was a pure hormonal issue that was solved only by certain medications . Now I have hair and acne is gone. |
| My hair grows fastest when I'm exercising regularly. The increased blood flow is what I need. |
