has anyone tried skin-hair-nails vitamins?

My friend told me that her hair grows like a weed when she takes them. Looking for feedback bc when you google them, there are a lot of people who say that they have a lot of side effects (acne, headaches, etc.). I am interested in your feedback. Thanks.

I took Biotin for 90 days. My doctor AND pharmacist BOTH told me it was hit or miss - it helps some people and not others. Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I am looking to strengthen my nails and hair. If anyone has any other recs they would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you!

Great Lakes gelatin has been awesome for my hair and nails.

Prenatal vitamins will likely give you a good result. Sofia Vergara uses them.

+1 for the prenatal vitamins. Just make sure you're not getting too much vitamin A.
For hair, I would suggest getting your thyroid levels checked if you have not done so already. My hairloss has dramatically reduced once my levels were regulated.

I got a biotin sharpoo and hair growth shampoo from a doctor. Got back all my lost hair. But and a big but - you also have to take other vitamins to balance out these I.e the biotin. At first I didn't take the vitamins and broke out like crazy but when I started taking the vitamins my skin totally cleared up. The doc said that for some people biotin has to be taken in combination with other vitamins.

Why not clean up your diet? Much more effective all around.

This does not always work. It's about hormones. I eat only fresh produce etc but still get acne. I've seen many doctors and trust me it's not your diet it has a lot to do with hormonal cycles.

Food gives us the nutrients to create the right hormones though.

Ever heard of polycystic ovary syndrome or nonclassic adrenal hyperplasia?

NP here, You've never heard of PCOS? Look it up. Food won't fix it.
