| Yes it's possible. I look 10-15 years younger than my age. Many women I meet that are around my age or younger look tired/worn out, like they had a rough life, and OLD. I am 43. |
|
I'd say 80% genetics. Asians and blacks will look younger because they have melanin in their skin to protect against sun damage and wrinkles. Also, a lot of Asians have chubby cheeks and their eyes are not deep set, which adds to the youthful look.
20% is how you carry yourself, your hairstyle/dress, body type. |
Ditto, except I'm 44. |

Sure, it is possible to look 10-12 yrs younger than your age. Many factors factor into this I would say:
*Race: African-Americans, Asians and Indians tend to age much better than the general population as a whole. I.e., Tina Turner looks Wow (!)....
*Genetics: A lot of it also depends on how well your parents and other members of your family look, particularly your elder relatives. *Lifestyle: Cliche, but so true. Stay away from cigarettes and the sun, and you pretty much are good to go. Cigarettes age you by giving you premature wrinkles all over, brown/yellow teeth and nails as well as changing your voice and causing you all types of health issues. The sun ages your skin per-maturely by causing wrinkles, sun/age spots and that dry, leathery look we associate w/age. |
| Yes, it's possibile. I'm 30 but i look 17/18 |
| no. |
I thought my nanny was 25 when I first met her for an interview. She was 34! Then I interviewed another one to cover the first one's vacation and thought she was early 30s and she was 42! It helps to be Filipino

Again, a bunch of unicorns drinking from the mythical fountain of youth.
40 looking 25 or 30...riiiiiight! You can look great for 40, but you are not looking like a 25yr old. Go take your middle aged ass out to Spider Kelly's and embarrass yourselves. I'm sure you will blend right in. LOL! |
You must look better than Christy Brinkley because even after having her body and face rearranged for 10s of thousands of dollars, even she still looks like a (hot) 60 year old. Naomi Campbell, one of them most beautiful black women walking planet earth still looks like a bangin 43yr old. Somebody needs to put you on TV and make you a star! You sound delusional. |

Early 40s. People consistently mistake me for early 30s. (At 30, people thought I was a teenager.)
Why? No wrinkles or age spots. Cafe au lait skin that has darkened a bit since childhood), but I avoid the sun mostly (AA of mixed ancestry). I don't smoke. Drink in moderation and always hydrate after. No visible grays. I don't dye but I pluck the 5-10 strands that I get a year. I watch my weight. Too fat ages you. Too thin ages you. Clothing. I'm a tomboy who cleans up nice. I don't wear things that are faddish in cut, but I have good legs that I love to show off and I rock heels because I'm short. Genetics. Women born into my family never look their age. My mom is early 70s and looks early 50s. At family reunions, I can spot the women who married in because they didn't age nearly as well. |

| People say all kinds of ridiculous things. When I was around 37 a medical receptionist said that I looked too young to married. She seemed pretty clueless. |
She has lived hard. No one can party that way and not suffer the effects. Look at the AA and Asian Seventh Day Adventist women in this area and see if you can accurately guess their ages. |
I am so sorry that you look your age (or older). Must be hard. |
