My 4 year old loves for me to sit behind my closed closet door so that she can sing the snowman song and I can do my part with, "Go Away, Anna." Maybe next time I'll surprise her with the Breaking Bad rant. Spice things up a little.

This happened with Doc McStuffins too, huge hit, not enough merchandise to keep up, high ebay prices for must-have gifts

DMcS is super boring.

Yes, because promoting an interest in veterinarian science is a bad thing.

Doesn't every little kid already want to be a vet at some point? Oh yeah, it's like when Barbie puts on her astronaut outfit to inspire young girls to go into the space program. LOL

Stop being so defensive about a Disney Junior cartoon, sheesh.

BTW, it's veterinary science. Veterinarian is the occupation.

To be fair, pp didn't say it was bad - only that it was boring.

Yeah, tell that to my 4y old….

Yes - tell it to my 4yr old too. I find it totally insipid, but what I will say is that I like the fact the my DD now dresses up in a lab coat and uses a little doctor's kit to examine and give MANY shots to every human and stuffed animal in the house. It has inspired nice imaginative play.

I hate the merchandise surrounding all movies and shows these days. I get why the marketers do it, but why do parents buy into so much??? A figure or a shirt here and there is one thing, but it's amazing how much I seen people shell out for some Frozen stuff. And they are STILL buying...

This. However, in my home we are the ones getting the shots and playing doctor. She also says she has to "exercise" to be healthy Last x-mas Santa brought her lots of doctor related stuff. My daughter doesn't think of her as a pet's doctor though, but as a regular doctor.

*I* like that her mother work and her dad is a SAHD, but my child doesn't even notice such nuances to be fair.

It's the culture of making parenting your kid your hobby. Larla shows interest in ABC so I'm going to take time and money to procure items directly relating back to said interest. What Larla, you now are interested in DEF? Ooh, let me do a quick Google search on that.

My three year old memorized it on the first viewing.
I went to the bathroom and just as I was closing the door she said, "Daddy, love is an open door."
"Yeah well Daddy is peeing so this is a closed door."
Two seconds later.
[Knock knock]
"Daddy, do you wanna build a snowman?"
"Go back in the living room."
"Okay, bye."
It was only on the second viewing that I realized that last part was from the song.
