Really, really hard. As much as I thought I wanted out, it provided a sense of structure and without that I was really lost and very overwhelmed. Also, the logistics of establishing myself was super confusing. A social security card? A driver's license? Health insurance? I had panic attacks. I thought about going back all the time. |

OP,
I am glad you got out. It sounds like you are trying really hard. Have you considered (if you are able to) seeing a therapist to process the experience and gain support for your new life? |

No contact since I left. If there are other family members, I don't know of them. I was a month shy of 17. |
