| Just congratulations! |
Put your scale in the attic or the basement for the next six months -- you don't need that pressure. And the reason people are saying quitting smoking was a huge accomplishment is because it is. It sounds as though you need something quantifiable, so think about what (besides a number on the scale) would meet that need. The FitBit someone suggested above? Or other tracker -- my DH had a basic Life Trak, which is cheaper. You could put the savings towards another session with a trainer! A chart that shows how much exercise you've gotten each day? Following one of those 30 days to a five-minute plank programs? Keeping track of how many reps you do for weight-lifting? How many flights of stairs you can climb? Could you buy some bargain exercise equipment on CL? |

Congrats! I smoked when I was younger, so I know how hard it is to quit. Major accomplishment and your body (and lungs) will thank you.
Walk as much as you can. Get physical; clean your closets, kitchen cabinets, re-organize, anything to get you moving and motivated. |
