*may* be moved. There may or may no the movement of any zones or the CI program |
|
Please note, the original request & responses were from April 2014.
Then someone revised it yesterday because they wanted to complain about Bar-T. OP's kids are already at CGES now. |
| Is there an update on whether the CI program will be moved or not? |
The recommendation came out - it will be moved. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/677086.page |
| I heard there is a boundary change with College Gardens elementary. A portion of the population will now go to Beall. Can someone please tell me which area/neighborhood that is? My husband and I are searching in the RM district, somewhere in College Gardens/Woodley Gardens or Derwood Station neighborhood. We are okay with sending our kids to most of the RM feeder schools but just curious which neighborhood will now feed into Beall. |
The Woodley Gardens neighborhood. Go to the link I posted above. The link to the recommendation is there. Beall is a nice school. If you find a house you love in Woodley Gardens, take it and don't think twice that it is feeding into Beal. |
Ok,thanks, PP. Yes, we would be happy with either school! |

Hi. Anyone know of any good before and after care programs that transport to college gardens elementary?
BA |
Bar-T is on-site at CGES. I’ve heard that Georgetown Hill and Cathay Future center provide aftercare also. |
| If my child is admitted to college garden elementary school in kindergarten , can I switch to Beal elementary, I live in King Farm Rockville |
If you live within these boundaries, then no, your child is assigned to College Gardens. https://gis.mcpsmd.org/ServiceAreaMaps/CollegeGardensES.pdf |
Why do you want to switch to Beall? |
| Unless you're in a consortium or magnet, your kid goes to their home school based on where you live. Otherwise, you need a COSA. |
