Blind Side actor Quinton Aaron kicked off of plane for being too big

That said, I'm always curious how much someone must eat to get to 500+ lbs. He's 1.5 feet taller than me, but weighs more than 4x as much. I've struggled with my weight, but still... you have to be eating an enormous amount of food to get to over 500 lbs.

It takes 3,500 calories to simply maintain that size while at complete rest - basically for your organs to function, breathe, circulate blood, etc. Not including daily activities like talking, walking, let alone to gain.

I don't know but he lives in California so its not like he's not surrounded by a healthy eating culture.

Kevin Smith = not classy

not a race issue.

Pretty sure it's due to race (white entitlement, to be precise).

This happened five years ago! Why the bump?

I think that's what he was trying to get rid of. Take it easy on him!

He's almost 7 feet tall.

This is the equivalent of a 5'8 man being 275 lbs. Yes still obese, but not completely unfathomable.

theres no way he was fitting into one regular coach seat though.

Aaron Gibson was 6.7 and 440 in the NFL for the Lions back in the day. This guys a solid 150 over that... Im glad he recognizes that a wake up call was needed.

It's addiction, plain and simple. If you watch how these people react when they are told they cannot have food, it's the same as telling a drug addict they cannot have their drug. I have addiction in my family and I see it in these morbidly obese people, but their drug is food.

So, since this was 5 years ago, did he lose weight?

Doesn't look like it. Most recent thing I can find on him was from June 2019 where he was hospitalized with an upper respiratory infection and high blood pressure.

I'm a 5'7", 275 lb woman who fits into a coach seat just fine.

Plane seats are getting smaller and people are getting bigger. This is going to happen more and more.

I seriously doubt that.

He wasn't exactly kicked off the plane. He paid for first class and got put in coach with one seat. Not his fault but the airlines.

I want to know what he eats in a day. According to calculations, his BMR is 4,312. That's if he is basically in a coma all day. Quite a bit more if he's even a little bit active. And that would be to *maintain* let alone continue to gain weight. That's a sh!t ton of food every single day.

Daily calorie needs based on activity level:
Sedentary: little or no exercise 4,950
Exercise 1-3 times/week 5,684
Exercise 4-5 times/week 6,310
Daily exercise or intense exercise 3-4 times/week 6,918
Intense exercise 6-7 times/week 7,553

Why did you bump a 5-year-old thread from 2014 to say this?

I'm really fat and I seriously doubt it too. You might be able to squeeze in, but not "just fine."
