He's currently around 550 lbs, at 6'8. He seems to have gained quite a bit of weight since his breakout role.
However, gotta give Quinton credit for handling the incident with class. http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/blind-side-star-determined-lose-weight-booted-flight/story?id=23211817 ![]()

| Wow, he's a big dude! 6'8! Even if he weighed 300 pounds, could someone who is 6'8 really fit in an economy seat? Or even 2 economy seats? I always feel like they're made for people my size, and I'm 5'2. |
| He said he is now going to try to lose weight. Good for him! |
| Jesus. Even that woman on TLC (who has since died from being so fat) weighed less. |
| at 6'8", I don't see how his legs could fit in a regular coach seat (not even taking weight into account) |
| How could he possibly fit in even two plane seats? The seats are so small, I can barely fit in them and I am 5'4. |
She was also probably a foot and a half shorter. |

I'm glad he seems to have taken the incident as motivation to lose some weight. That's the right attitude (instead of Kevin Smith's rants).
That said, I'm always curious how much someone must eat to get to 500+ lbs. He's 1.5 feet taller than me, but weighs more than 4x as much. I've struggled with my weight, but still... you have to be eating an enormous amount of food to get to over 500 lbs. It takes 3,500 calories to simply maintain that size while at complete rest - basically for your organs to function, breathe, circulate blood, etc. Not including daily activities like talking, walking, let alone to gain. |
| Great wake up call for him. I hope he is sincere in his quest to lose weight. |
| Before anyone starts the RACE issue. Kevin Smith was kicked off a plane as well. |
You're the only one that brought up race. |
|
this guy = classy
Kevin Smith = not classy not a race issue. |
| Let's be nice ? it's easy to put on but HARD to get OFF! |
|
Not saying this is what happened, but it may also have truly been a weight issue. My own father weighs close to 400lbs, and was alerted once that if they couldn't balance the plane's weight correctly then he may have to disembark.
Making one big dude get off is easier than offloading a lot of luggage or 2-3 other passengers. |
| I'm sorry if he faced any embarrassment. But also at that weight and height, its not just about seat size -- I think he could throw off the balance of the plane if its a smaller carrier. |
