Can a violent registered pedafile live in front of an E.S.?

I will. My call to arms was a call for others to get involved too. I'm very concerned if autistic and other very small children are in front of this mans house. And guess what's about 3 blocks from there? A full fledged E.S. (west gate). What a perfect location. Kids on his street have to walk to school too.

Also a quick note about the VA Code regarding this topic..if a school/daycare/etc. is established within 500ft of the residence AFTER the offender's conviction, he/she is allowed to maintain his/her residence.

There is apparently a violent sex offended across from Louise Archer ES. But, I think he lived there before the laws went into effect, and is grandfathered.

I know this issue. The person has a mental issues and is more gay than pedophile, the charge happened 30 years a go.

The home is his mom's and he is over the 500 foot limit.

I would be cautious of him but he is less of a threat so don't let your guard down focusing on this one.

Thanks for the info (truly). I read the code and it appears that the 500 feet law only applies if he moved there on or after July 1, 2006. Westgate is over 500 feet, but not the Pimmit Hills school, but I guess he might be grandfathered in. I don't have a copy of the pre-July 1, 2006 code but it wouldn't surprise me if there was no prior restriction on where sexual predators could reside.
