Hello -How so?

Chai=tea Latte=with milk (no one puts espresso in it)

Indian chai is already always made with milk. Soooooo, chai latte or chai tea latte is redundant.

Chai is made with water and milk boiled together. A chai latte uses steamed milk, frothed up. My mother-in-law makes chai but there's no way you'd call it a chai latte.

"Chai" (in the sense of how it is traditionally served) is not the same as a "chai latte".

You're wrong and irritating, overly indignant PP. Good grief.

You win an award for most over the top obnoxious response to an innocuous question.

Oh for God sake (sic) call it just a "response". All the responses are obnoxious. That's what response means on DCUM - obnoxious.

Thank you. At least someone knows what I'm talking about.

I do make my own, but I can't recreate the same heat (spice) that is in the Teaism version. Any suggestions on how to get that? Is is the kind of cinnamon they use?

OP - Mano, Firehook and Teaism, just what I was looking for , thanks.

To the Water, I add grated Ginger (Cheese grater works fine - approximately 1" ginger), 1 Crushed Green Cardamom (or even Skin is fine), Clove (Crushing optional), Cinnamon (small piece) and Tea Powder (or 2 Tea bag) and let it boil on the stove. Later, add Milk and Sugar per taste. This is how I make Chai at home. Otherwise, you can get Tea Masala in Indian Grocery stores, a pinch of it gives enough spice to the Tea.
