Got CogAT one week ago.
DD7 got: Verbal: 139, 99% Quantitative 138, 99% Nonverbal: 136, 99% Coomposite: 144. 99% Got the in-pool letter too. |
highest i've seen so far. hope she'll enjoy it if she gets in. |
Your kid is in pool for sure- what is the NNAT? |
She is new to school, doesn't have 1st grade NNAT, took the 2nd grade NNAT instead last Nov, haven't got score yet, I read post from this forum, suppose to get at mid of Feb? Still Waiting. |
While test scores are not everything, this is a child who looks very well rounded. I would imagine NNAT would also be high. My son's NNAT was 99% and CogAt non verbal was 97%, so NNAT was higher. |
| Any one got in with full NNAT 160 and below cutoff Cogat in first round? No WISC but just referral and few work samples? |
Mine had pretty even CogAt and NNAT (both above cutoff) so no personal experience, but I guess it could depend on how far below cutoff. But with that score, good GBRS and work samples, it would be a strong case even without WISC. |
| Does the county make public the scores of everyone over all? Can you keep applying every year until upper grades? |
OP here, I got new info: GBRS 11, teacher did a great job describing DC, but gave her a 2 for motivation to succeed. We did not receive an in-pool letter. |
Did you talk with the AART or just ask a copy of files submitted?

With the verbal at that level, how could you not get an in pool letter? |
I don't know, maybe it's because of the quantitative score. She's very good at math, I was surprised by that score. |
This is for this year, correct? Your child should have been in pool because your child had at least one score above 132. Other scores should not matter affect pool eligibility. Did your in-pool letter get lost in the mail? |

Did your in-pool letter get lost in the mail? How would I know if the letter was lost in the mail? I submitted a parent referral package. I am waiting for the rejection letter to see if I should appeal or not. |
