Just got the CogAT scores today

I have the same question as OP. I know DCs scores are pretty good but I really don't have time to dig up old work and I haven't heard back from the teacher whether or not she thinks she has enough good work samples to submit.

NNAT was 149 (99%)

CogAT
Verbal: 137 (99%)
Quant: 126 (95%)
Nonverbal: 136 (98%)
Composite: 136 (99%)

Should I bother with work samples or do most teachers/AARTs have this pretty well covered? I'm kind of thinking that they knew she'd be in-pool based on NNAT so they were probably pulling work samples already.

Quantitative 146 99% 99%
Nonverbal 132 98% 95%
Composite(VQN) 146 99% 99%

Never went thru this before. Not sure if this is good enough or not? We don't have any recommendation letters or work samples to submit. Should we do the parent questionnaires?
Thanks

No, these suck. He needs 100% on everything. Geez, never heard of prep?

You will not know GBRS until a decision is made on AAP selection which is due in end of April

I think those scores are too low. If you feel strongly, ask the teacher to see what she thinks because your DC would need a 16 GBRS and great commentary to overcome those scores, and I'm not even sure even that will overcome those scores.

You should at least fill out the parent questionnaire. I would not worry about submitting additional materials.

I don't see 1st post is annoying. Don't know why some people feel so offensive see other's better scores.

I am the first pp. Hers weren't better. But I found the "I'm so clueless" act around a 99th percentile to be too rich.

hello,
which percentile ranking we should look at? my son's age percentile is V:92, Q:96, NV:96, and VQN:97 and the scores: 122, 128, 128 and 130 in the same order. are those scores considered to be good for center or OES level IV?
appreciate any feedback.
thanks

I have the same question as OP too. My DC has very good scores on both NNAT and Cogat. Do I still need to spend time to come out some good work samples to submit?

Good scores! With these excellent scores, you should be OK not doing work sample because teacher should have this covered.
