22:40 on venison stew. I made it in the slow cooker. 1 onion sliced in rounds lining the bottom of the cooker, two potatoes cut in rounds on top, 1 apple cut into eights, venison cubes over it, add about 2-3 tablespoons red wine, salt, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, and 1 cup of water. slow cook for about 6 hours.

If you don't have a slow cooker, you can fry the onions and venison together, add the rest of the ingredients and cook on low in the oven.

I have also made venison curry - exactly how you would make a beef or lamb curry Indian style but cooked on really low on the stove so the meat is tender.

If you have a smoker, then smoke a roast. It's great that way! Even the children liked it lol.

We have a deer in the freezer so I have to be inventive with venison......

I'm the one who joked about firing the cleaning lady. I once set everything up to cook an awesome chicken meal. i was incredibly proud of myself for being organized. I got home from work and the apt didn't smell all chicken-y. Totally bummed. Turns out I forgot to turn it on before leaving for work. Boo.

I got one of those slow cookers with a timer, so I wouldn't overcook some things - Great idea right. Only problem is if there is even a short power outage, the whole thing turns off. Luckily we have a Peruvian chicken place near by that does very fast take out!!
