Shit happens. At least you only paid $5. Stop whining. |
Holy shit. Triple the judgment! FTW! ![]() |
Try to get it out. Sometimes that sort of thing will actually come out. I've gotten Sharpie out of my kids clothes. |
And this is where you lose me OP. You send your kid to school in an outfit you love. Kid wears a smock. Yet somehow the teacher is responsible because you just know for sure she did not tell a class of 5 year olds to roll their sleeves up. You really had to go there. You just couldn't control yourself and accept that sometimes accidents happen and kids get paint on their clothes. It just HAD to be the teacher's fault. Wow. |
Please get some perspective OP.
Don't send your kid to school in ANYTHING that you care about. Also, she's five. She's going to get stuff on her everywhere. Why are clothes and outfits so precious? Sure, save a few for photos or special occasions, but what are you "saving" the rest for? We have much nicer brands than HA (think Florence Eiseman, Sarah Louise, Le Top) and kid wears them all. If they get paint on them, oh well. If she doesn't wear them or I worry too much about clothes, she grows out of them and what's the point? |
And your reaction should be "THANK GOOOOODNESS, I only paid 5 bucks for this outfit" Stains happen -- now she wears it with stains -- let it go! |
Use it as play clothes. This is NOT a big deal. |
Only if the parent knew the kid was going over there to learn HOW TO SHOOT GUNS! Cause last I looked -- OP sent her kid to school KNOWING THEY HAVE ART CLASS! PP -- your analogy is an epic fail! |
I'm not the pp -- but i attribute it to the kid -- kids get messed up, kids get stained, cause, ya know that's what kids do -- and if momma thinks an art teacher is going to be able to prevent that on a class full of kids -- than i attribute stupid to momma. Maybe teacher rolled up all the kids' sleeves and OP's kids fell down or she pulled them down. It happens. |
Agreed. We could turn it around on you and wonder why YOU couldn't teach your child to roll up her sleeves. |
so what. They are going to outgrow it soon anyhow. I've spent money on nice dresses that we would only wear for fancy occasions. Well, they don't come up too often and then they outgrow it. So why not just let them wear it and if it gets messed up, so be it. Or why not just cut the sleeves off the dress. Now you have a spring outfit. |
She's five. She's going to get her clothes messed up. Get over it and Let her be a kid. Don't turn her into one of those fussy girls who can't play in the playground properly or have fun in art class because she's worried her mama will get upset about her dress getting messed up. |
have two girls and they wear clothes with stains all over. the second wear clothes that have stains from the first one too. it is simply part of beign kids. I understand you are pissed off, but it was meant to happen the second you bought the dress. you should brace for worse. my girls lost two Gap coats at school, and a large number of water bottles (at $8 OR $9 each, that's a big deal too). judging by the pile of lost and found clothes at school and after care that are donated to charities each year, we are not the only ones loosing clothes |
Why do they even have art class for Kindergarteners? Such a huge waste of time. They don't make anything 'artistic' anyway. Time better spent doing other neater work - worksheets, reading, computer lab time. |
Dawn+Hydrogen peroxide+Baking soda = Stain remover |
