DW dumped neighbors trash on their lawn. Now what do I have to do?

I don't. I barely tolerate her.

Actually if you are in MOCO, pizza boxes don't belong in the recycling if they are foody.

No, Fairfax.

I can understand your wife's reaction. There is obviously a history of annoying behaviors from your neighbors and this was the last straw. I agree with you that, even though the neighbors bug the crap out of your wife, she needs to be civil to get along with them. That's a hard thing to be sometimes when you are feeling peeved. I can picture myself doing the same thing as your wife. It's not such a bog deal that they put their recyclables in your been, but it is presumptuous and would piss me off as well-- whether or not they are foreigners.

What? They had a large Thanksgiving party one week after Thanksgiving?

Why was the trash a big deal when it's to be collected today anyway?

You need to grow a pair. Who in the hell wants to be married to a "go along to get along" kind of guy?

Lastly, why are telling DCUM about this? You should have ripped your wife a new one. She is completely out of line.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah. It's horrible when someone places trash in your trash bin. Soooo annoying. Really, the last straw.

There was a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode like this. Larry was taking a walk and threw a water bottle and some guy's bin, and the guy freaked out on him. I mean, it's trash, people....who cares.

I don't understand how having extra recyclables in the recycling bin affected your wife's life in any way whatsoever.

If you read my post, it ways that there is a history. I find it ironic that you are sarcastic in your response that I would find what the neighbor did annoying, yet you are clearly annoyed by an innocent expression of opinion on a bulletin board. Makes ya think, huh?

OP, I've never met a man that uses the word "so" as much you do.

If I'm understanding correctly, your wife dragged the bins to the curb for trash day. Had the trash been picked up already when the neighbor stuffed in their garbage (meaning your wife had to carry their trash back up to your house and then deal w/it for a week)? Or was this all done BEFORE the trash truck even got there?

Do your neighbors not have their own trash service? Or were they using your bins just this one time because their own bins were full? Yes, they should have asked to use your bins..

I'm just trying to understand what on earth set your wife off like that. Sorry, it sounds like a mess.

What's your point?

She should have asked for your permission first . Women get too emotional and need to consult with a man before acting out like this.

LOL. Before I even clicked onto the thread I knew it would begin with the word "so."

I agree and disagree with the posters. I don't think it's okay to put your trash or recyclables in your neighbors bins without asking. It's rude. Is it the end of the world or a big deal - no. But it is rude. My neighbor continuously puts his trash in trash bins. I'm talking about bags of Chinese food leftover etc. I haven't said anything but I regret it because its become a constant. It's rude. The OPs wife thinks its wrong and she is correct - if she let it go it would become a constant. Now did she handle it correctly - no! She was rude and over the top. She could have waited to see if this behavior is repeated and then gone over to speak to them (something I should do)! Both parties are wrong but her handling of the situation is worse.
