When people say "regular stuffing" do you mean like Pepperidge Farm?

I'm the OP, and I've only ever made stuffing 2 ways. 1) Stovetop and 2) From scratch with sourdough bread, and apples, raisins, and sausage, and lots of sage. I don't want sausage in my oyster stuffing, but I don't know how to make it without.

there are no exact quantites but lets say to get you started:

1 bag of stuffing - set aside

saute half a large onion, several stalk of celery, 1 apple (all diced) in butter then in a large oven safe bowl mix with stuffing. add raw oysters (at least two containers rinsed - set aside some of the juice) and mix again gently. drizzle with the oyster juice and top with slices of more butter. Cover and bake...I like mine moist - also add whatever spices you want

forgot to add if it doesn't look like enough, just add more.
