I bought a leather living room furniture set on Oct. 09. 2017, and the sales lady suggested that I also purchase a Worry No More plan and explained what it would cover. There was a 5 year and a 7 year plan, and I chose the 7 year. What sold me, was the voucher at the end of the contract anniversary that she said that I would receive for store purchases in furniture IF I didn't have any claims during the contract period. I had ninety days after the end of the contract to apply for my voucher.
Today is Oct. 19, 2024, and it's the 7 year anniversary month. When I called Worry No More CS, the agent told me that the contract had expired because they no longer sold the 7 year. I was like, "I bought the 7 year, and so you're telling me that they basically pulled the rug out from under me without telling me? I've never had a claim! NEVER!" So, if I'd had a claim during the last two years, I was SOL, even though I paid for a 7 year plan?
I paid for the 7 year WNM which was about $70 more than the 5 year, and if they no longer had the 7 year, wouldn't I have been due a partial refund, plus have been notified of the change? I was ticked! What kind of business are they running? It's a scam! I was told that I was basically out the money I paid for the warranty. I am going to contact the State Attorney's Office of the great State of Texas, and I will submit my receipt. They'll have to respond to my complaint. If I never get my $334 back in the form of a voucher, I will also contact the local TV station's Problem Solvers. How many other Macy's customers who purchased the 7 year and never had any claim, are being told that they won't be getting nothing from Macy's WNM? Bad business! I won't be shopping at Macy's anymore, and I will close my acct. which has a zero balance.
