And she happens to look good in red, which is a color most women Members of Congress and Senators wear because it is patriotic, looks good on them, and makes them stand out. Please note that Comstock's challenger, Kathleen Murphy was "late five times since 2005 in paying property taxes on the home her husband own in McLean. New York state tax records also show two late payments on property taxes for a home she owns in 2010 and 20122". McLean Connection Oct. 30-Nov. 5, p. 3. Anyone whose own house is in such disarray does not get my vote to represent me as state delegate.

Seriously-I think you DC, MD and even Alexandria and Arlington voters should focus on your own local elections. Comstock is well liked on both sides of the aisle and her opponent has a shady record.

Another poster already did. Read second para. of 13:03. Murphy's a ringer brought in by the Dems. so Comstock would not run opposed. Go read the local McLean newspapers about the recent debates. Even the local papers reported how Murphy inappropriately brought in people to boo and hiss Comstock at the recent debate. The moderator had to ask Murphy's associates to knock it off. Murphy has run a very ugly campaign. Even the unbiased papers are reporting it. The result is that some that might have voted for a Dem. candidate are voting for Comstock. Ugly politics at the local level turn people off.

Murphy also wants to make it a law that all doctors must accept Medicaid and Medicare patients. That could break the bank for general practitioners.

OP here. If it makes you feel better, I ended up voting for Comstock. Not particularly impressed by Murphy. Just interested in media images and subliminal, and not so subliminal, advertising.

Given the other topics discussed on this forum, this one seemed reasonably benign.

If you are opposed to a politician's stance on public policy, that's fair game and feel free to discuss your point of view, but to bring family into the discussion is cheap and out of bounds.

Leave her family alone.

Perhaps you could post a photograph of you and your family and you can encourage us to add our commentary about their posture, expressions, colors their wearing and "subliminal messages" they are sending.

How about someone who quotes it properly with the right grammar, showing education beyond which you've mastered?
