I was pregnant with twins and in hospital with pre-eclampsia from 20 weeks. My best friend never came to visit me and I was really upset with her. At around 28 weeks one twin died and I sent her a text telling her. She did not respond directly to the text but wrote a long had-written letter to me saying how sorry she was for not visiting. The reason was that she had dreamt that one of my babies was going to die even before I became sick. She also dreamt that a black cat had gone into my house and stole a diamond. Unbeknown to her, a burglar had indeed broken into our house a day befoe and stolen the diamond studs my husband had bought for my to commemorate the birth of our babies.

Also at 33 weeks a lady from my mom's church called her and told her to fast for 3 days because I was going to become very sick but through prayer and fasting I would be fine in the end. The day after I suffered a very bad medical crisis and almost died. My mom only told me this after the event.

I lived in an older home in college and our stuff was constantly being moved around, especially in the kitchen. For example, we'd come home and the salt and pepper would be turned upside down, the fork was in a cabinet with the plates instead of a drawer, pictures would be upside down etc.

When I was a kid (until I was age 5)...there was some presence in my bedroom every night. I've also witnessed semi transparent figures over the years.

We've lived in our house for almost 12 years. Weeks after we moved into the house, my oldest asked me "who's the lady in white that keeps coming into my room every night?! My husband's mother had died a few months before, so I thought maybe it was her. 12 years later, my youngest is complaining of whispers in her room, thumps, someone sitting on her bed,
scratching, stuff disappearing, stuff being moved. WWYD? I keep telling her it's an old house, etc.

He died 21 days after the accident. The night before he died, the ghost of one of my friends who died, appeared in my bedroom. He said that he wanted to tell me that "John" was going to die and that it was okay. I sort of stuttered and he repeated that it was all okay. John died about 6 hours later.

I had a VERY similar experience.

After reading this, I heard a voice today late in the afternoon in my office (door closed) say "I'm watching you" deep and quiet. Freaked me out !!!! Nobody could see me. I figure it must have been somebody in a neighboring office talking to themself

Many. Oddly, a lot of them center around a very good friend of mine. I always wonder why him?

Have always been psychic. I know things I shouldn't. I take it in stride, probably because it's happened for so long, I'm used to it.

My dad passed in February of this year from cancer. My DH bought him an IPad for his chemo treatments, and he was overjoyed to be given such a nice gift. After he passed, his signifigant other gave it to my husband to bring back to VA, and we kept pretty much of my dad's downloads on the pad. In July of this year, my 6 yr. old would cry, he really missed his grandpa. A couple nights later, my DH was downstairs watching TV, when the IPad started playing from it's music list. He thought it was weird and turned it completely off, powered it down, and put it in his briefcase. All of sudden, he started hearing music again from the IPad!!! Now, he was fairly freaked out, brought the IPad upstairs and told me about this strange thing happening to the IPad. As were talking, the IPad lit up, scrolled through it's music list, and started playing Louis Armstrong, one of my dad's favorite music artist. We looked at each other, and knew it was my dad telling us he was ok.

I've been struggling for years about God, heaven - though I still pray and send my DC to a parochial school. Like I wanted to believe so badly that God existed, so I went through the motions. I feel much better now and more at peace.

Me too. I used to hate it. As I have gotten older, I've learned to accept it. Like you, I just know things.

My mom is the same way, but she won't admit it. It terrifies her. Example - She woke up at 2am with severe pain in her left foot. She and my dad got up and got dressed to go to the ER. They called me and my sisters. The pain went away suddenly and they decided to wait and go see her regular doctor the next morning.

My grandmother died at 2:15 that morning from a blood clot. We later learned that the clot had originated in her left foot.

Fascinating. What kinds of things have you known that you shouldn't?

My friends son was in an accident and transported to the hospital. He was 3 or 4 years old. The doctor was telling my friend and her husband that the boy was fine but he could not explain why, he should be severely injured from the accident, as it was described by the police. He could not explain the fact the child had no injuries. But he was fine.

They were talking as if he was not in the room, but he said to her, her husband and the doctor.

"Grandma caught me and set me down softly".

My friend's mother had died the night before but they had not had a chance to tell the boy.

Yes, recently. I was running the RAGNAR relay race a couple weekends ago, and the race involves each runner doing several runs, one of which is in the middle of the night. Though other people are running at the same time, you are usually running by yourself.

My midnight-ish run was on a deserted country road near Antietam, MD, on a road surrounded by dense woods. Other than the very occasional house, there was no light whatsoever - no streetlights. Nothing. The only illumination was from my headlamp and the headlights of occasional passing cars.

I was running up a hill and a car at the bottom of the hill, maybe 1/4 mile back, illuminated the road around me. I saw my shadow - and the shadow of a man about a foot away from my shadow. I am tall, slim, and had a ponytail and a visor. My shadow was tall, slim and had a ponytail and visor. The second shadow was stockier, slightly taller, with close-cropped hair and no hat/visor. I assumed someone was behind me, preparing to pass me, so I turned around.

There was nobody there. Not a soul. Nobody there as far as I could see. Nobody next to me. Nobody in front of me. No shape that could have produced that shadow - and it was still there. I called out to ask, "Is someone there?" Nothing.

I ran a seriously fast time that night because I was so freaked out. I just wanted to finish my run and get the hell off that road.

Weirdly, an ex of mine is deployed overseas right now, and he is doing a bunch of "shadow" races - replicating the army ten-miler, half marathons, etc. on his Army base in Afghanistan - and he is built just like my shadow was. I actually checked facebook after my run to make sure he hadn't died or something and was shadowing me. (No.)

@ 10:36 - That is so creepy! I would have gotten out of there ASAP also. It doesn't seem safe to have runners on a deserted road by themselves that late at night.
