LOL, good one! |
Because Trump's hands are small, they have to make the buns smaller. |

Yes burger buns got smaller in the last few years.. Buns won't even handle one third pound burgers. These aholes charge us more for less... |
I would be a little surprised only because the equipment that they use in these factories is super expensive and I don’t think they’d change out the dough cutting equipment just to save a few bucks on dough. But on the other hand the equipment/facilities get upgraded periodically so it’s possible that one of the major manufacturers upgraded equipment and decided to go with a smaller bun cutting design to save money going forward. I’m curious—what brand do you usually buy? I’d be really surprised if this is true across brands though. |
ChipsAHoy cookies sure have. They're a third the thickness they used to be. Like wafers. Shameless. |
I like a small bun:burger ratio, so I’m ok with it. |
LOL best post on the entire forum. |
I'VE NOTICED THIS TOO. Thought I was finally losing it!!!
Pepperidge farms ones seems to be a little bigger still but they are much more expensive like $5 a pack not $1 store brand. |
What are sandwich buns? |
Same - I prefer sandwich thins |
Kaiser rolls. |
You can look at the label. Common weights for 8buns: 11, 12, 14, or 16oz.
Store brand are the smaller 11oz buns. |
I did actually think that when my husband brought home takeout from shake shack the other day! It did seem like the burger was sticking out more than usual. We did have burgers from Ruthie’s yesterday and I didn’t notice any difference, though. I’m going to pay more attention now. I probably need more exciting things in my life because I’m excited to do some detective work here. |
