Lady, you are old. Check out my pics above. These are not socially inept women--quite the contrary. I love the navy blazer, scarf and boots! So refreshing. |
As are those women who don't curtsy when Mr. Darcy enters a room. |
I *think* she's joking. |
|
I wouldn't do it.
|
Sadly, I don't think she is .
|
I do too. No white pants until next Memorial Day, OP. |
Fabulous!!! I love those pics--breaking out my white boyfriend jeans!! Navy and black go fantastically! I also love the animal print belt. |
Yep--in my 40s I don't care if a few Dankso-wearing, Chico's ladies 'tsk' me as I walk by .
|
They look lovely but save it for summer: Mem Day to Labor Day. |
| Only if you're a size 6 or less. Otherwise, don't. |
White pants, red carpet -
|
And only wear them with your flowered bonnets. |
| If you wear white after Labor day then, well.. you are a cracker who must not have had a good upbringing. Rail all you want. |
Absolutely. But, I think you have to consider the difference between white wool pants and coats, leather jackets, etc, and white linen, white polyester (ugh) and white lightweight material that is obviously meant for summer. A good rule is no summer wear after Labor Day. I noticed that more old ladies disregard this rule than young fashionable women. |
| It would be interesting to do an age poll in this thread. I'm guessing the people following this dated rule are...well, older. |
